İÖÇK ‘s General Manager is Gülçağ Gençer, Head of Primary School is Güneş Özdinç and the Head of Anatolian High School is Aydın Koyuturk.
İÖÇK gives a full day’s education. Pre –school is one year, Primary School is eight years and High School is four years.The fourth classes have been taught by experienced subject teachers since 1999 .
In pre-school and primary classes1,2 and 3 great importance is paid to holistic education and the Mind Lab programme is a current method used to prepare the next generation to the complex challenges of the 21st century by teaching children how to think reflectively; and by encouraging students to “learn how to learn.”
İÖÇK is fully equipped with the necessary technological infrastructure in its physics, chemistry, biology, foreign languages, social sciences, computer labs and technology rooms.
There is an after school study programme for working parents of students free of charge until 18:30.
In Primary School there is a maximum of 20 students in classes1-5 and a maximum of 24 students per class in classes 6-8 and in High School
In İÖÇK, English is taught from pre- school ,German is taught from the 4th class and Spanish from the 6th grade onwards. IOÇK is the first and only school in Izmir which makes the learning of a third language obligatory. In IÖÇK placement tests are given to the students from the fouth class onwards and their English education continues in classes of 10-12 students according to their level of English.

ENO / Environment Online
ENO-Environment Online, based in Finland since 2000,is a global virtual school and network for sustainable development and environmental awareness.The Aegean Forest Foundation set up a campaign called ‘ The World is going to breathe’ after the forests burnt down in Seferihisar Doğanbey village and on 26th October 2009, working together with the Aegean Forest Foundation formed ENO Çamlaraltı Wood
eTwinning Project
eTwinning is part of the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme, with its headquarters in Brussels .It allows teachers to use the eTwinning portal to exchange ideas, meet virtually,and practice and learn together in learning events.İÖÇK was awarded the International Quality Award for the first eTwinning Project to be done in Turkey.
European Schoolnet / MyEurope
Çamlaraltı Koleji participates in online lessons via the European Union's official education portal European Schoolnet / MyEurope Programme.
AISESEC - AFS – Rotary – YFU
Every year İÖÇK hosts foreign exchange trainees on an exchange programme and they participate in the foreign language education at all levels within the school.
For one school year İÖÇK also hosts students from all around the world on the AFS-YFU-Rotary Student Exchange Programmes.This also gives İÖÇK students the opportunity to further their education abroad.
Sister School Project
The Sister School Project was implemented with the aim of the students and teachers being able to take part in exchange programmes,giving the students the opportunity to learn a foreign language and culture by living in that country and also to promote their own culture effectively .
İÖÇK ‘s Sister School Project partners are Realschule Ahrweiler (Germany) since 2001, Nummelan Koulu (Finland) since 2005 and1st Paleo Faliro (Greece) since 2008.
Traditional Activities
"Kentimizde Cumhuriyet'e Sahip Çıkanlar" This award has been given since 2001 to people who have contributed in some valuable way to developing Izmir.
‘MAS Success Awards’ These awards have been given since 2001 in the name of the school’s founder Mehmet Ali Sertatıl. The awards are given in poetry, composition and art to students who participate from schools all over İzmir as well as İÖÇK
"Ata'ya Saygı Yürüyüşü’ takes place every May. İÖÇK‘s students, teachers, management and parents walk from Gündoğdu Square to Cumhuriyet Square to show their respect for Atatürk.
Every year İÖÇK plays an active role in ‘Izmir’s Turkish Language Days’ held by Konak Municipality and the Tukish Language Association.
For the last two years İÖÇK has organised seminars on ‘Educational Priorities of the 21st Century’
The Spring and Science Festival takes place in April with İÖÇK’s students exhibiting their social and scientific based projects . Schools from around Izmir also participate.
Careers Day is a day when students get the opportunity to meet people who are successful in their choice of career and to learn about these careers before they themselves make their own decisions.
